Is "condition" a proper word in this context?

Hi,

Is "condition" a proper word in the following context?

" According to experts, the transverse deviation of the vehicle is one of the most important indicators of the defective driving performance and can be interpreted as the possibility of leaving the center line and engaging in crash. If the driver's condition is not suitable because of taking drugs or fatigue, the number of transverse deviations increases."

Is there any other correction needed?

Thanks!

It is an attempt at using formal language that falls flat on its face. The word "condition" is OK, but the rest is rather off base and unnatural.
