Is coming on strong a real sentence and what does it mean?

Hey everybody,

Does the sentence 'Coming on strong' does mean anything? Can it be used the same as 'coming on too strong' or isn't that regularly used?

Thanks in advance :-)

"coming on strong" is a phrase, not a sentence. It means "becoming strong or forceful", often used of a person's behaviour or actions. "coming on too strong" is similar except there's an extra emphasis of "too much".
