Is "closeness" / "closedness" ok?

Hi!

I am trying to find the opposite of "openness", in describing mainly a social-political system, in a context like this:

"The openness of the system was proved by the easy acceptance of foreign workforce"

Is the antonym of "openness" - "closeness", "closedness" or smth else?

Thanks a lot!

Hello, Isabel - and welcome to English Forums. Closeness is wrong because it means intimacy. Closedness is a good coinage; it is understandable in your context.
