please, could you help me edit this sentence?
Even though these forgeries were securely identified at the end of the 19th century, some historians are being misled by them even nowadays.
I've got the feeling that the verbal form are being misled does not fit well together with even nowadays. Would it be better to write some historians are misled or get misled?
