Can I say,

(a) A choir is / are singing.
(b) A group of choir is / are singing.

Hi,

(a)You can't say "a choir are singing", because "choir" is singular, but you can say: "A choir is singing"

(b) " A group of choirs are singing"

Can I say,

The choir are singing on stage / on the stage.

choir=singular, so if you wanna use "are", you have to pluralize choir, and thats "choirs".
