Is / Are Query

After a noun (company name) that is turned plural, should you use 'is' or 'are'?

For example, "Boat Tickets is happy to announce..." or "Boat Tickets are happy to announce..."

In either case, why?

As 'tickets' is plural, the obvious choice is "are"...but the company itself isn't plural, as the company is doing the inviting, not the tickets.

Thanks
