Essay & Composition Writing

Is anything wrong with this text?

Dear Mr. May,
Now I have all documents which are necessary for the visa application.
Nevertheless there are two things which I would like to ask you before I send these documents to Mrs. Braidt.

1. I have talked about doing my MS Thesis at Berkely with my course director. She said the topic which I am going do deal with by you should be approved by one of the chairs engaged in Computational Mechanics. I would actually prefere to nail down the exact scope of the work close to starting date as you also purposed before. Now due to the new situation my question is How long before the beginning would it be possible for you to give me a more detailed description about the job?

2. During our study I had just one elective course dealing with Structural Optimization with a little explanation about Toplogy Optimization. Therefore I think I am not qualified enough. I feel that I need to take more courses in this direction during the Summer term at TUM from April. 15, 2012 to Sept. 15, 2012 and learn also more about this topic on my own. I believe that this will enable me to write a much better MS Thesis on Topology Optimization, which I plan to complete during the Winter term 2012 at Berkley. Is it possible to date the application form BS1055 from Sept. 30 2012 to Mar. 30 2013 ?

Thank you!
Kai Ansorge

If "Mr. May" is the prof. at Berkeley that you're going to be working under, he should be addressed as "Prof. May" or "Dr. May."

The Univ. of Calif. at Berkeley is arguably the finest university in the US, so you should at least spell it correctly: Berkeley.

Your use of the term "TUM" assumes that the person reading the letter knows what this means. If there is any doubt about
