Is "an as high as possible" grammatically correct?
Hi, I have encountered a sentence like ".. asks for an as high as possible quality" in a document written by a non-native English speaker. I would write it like "asks for the highest possible quality", but I'm not quite sure if the first one is correct or not. Can anybody tell me? Thanks.

Hi, The original is not unusual for casual speech, but I would write it your way. Clive
