Is a dependent clause in adjunct function part of the verb phrase in a sentence, please

Hi teachers,

-She is studying English because she wants to be an English teacher.

Could you please tell me if I'm right about the analysis of the structure of the sentence given above?


Subject = She

Predicate = Verb phrase "is studying English because she wants to be an English teacher".

Verb phrase = verb (is studying); Complement of the verb(English); Adjunct (because she wants to be an English teacher)


Is a dependent clause, grammatically functioning as an adjunct, such as that one in my example sentence, part of the verb phrase. Is the dependent clause "because she wants to an English teacher" within the verb phrase?

I see it differently to MM. This simplified tree diagram may help. As you can see, the matrix predicate consists of the whole upper verb phrase including the because PP (a reason adjunct):
