Irrelevant Sentence

Which is irrelevant?

(A) Extraterrestrial life is any life that does not originate from Earth. (B) None has so far been discovered. (C) Often described as alien life, or aliens, extraterrestrial life might range from simple, bacteria-like organisms to intelligent, complex life-forms. (D) Other instruments can detect water and ice on or below the surface. (E) If any, they could even be more advanced than humans.

I think E is irrelevant but I'm not sure.
