I was thinking about "iron out"! I just want to check my understandings with a native. I would appreciate if you could answer my questions.

iron out~to remove problems or find solutions
I think the meaning comes from this: ironing problem until they disappear.
Do you picture this process when you are using this verb, or it have its own meaning. It's occurred to me that phrasal verbs are somehow picturing the process or event. So I was just curious to know how much. Emotion: smile
