Is the expression "It's just up the ONE floor" typically Irish? In Ken Loach's movie, "Ae fond kiss", an Irish girl is describing her flat, and a Scottish boy asks her if she's Irish. What I would like to know is: is this expression a distinctive signal of "Irishness?"
Thank you!

actually "flat" was my word for "apartment", the film is set in Glasgow and the the boy says "pad"!
For sure the accent is an identifying sign, but as the phrase sounded strange to my (not-Irish) ears and as I'm writing my final dissertation on this topic...I wanted to go deep into the question!!!
Go and see the movie if you can, it's really nice.
