Involving the arts and literature

Is this sentence correct:

1) He considers himself more German than French, but says that there are sides to him that are more French, involving the arts and literature.

The sides that are French involve the arts and literature... or maybe the sides that involve the arts and literature are more French?

Gratefully,

Navi
