"With this message I cordially invite you to join ceremonies dedicated to the public defense of my Ph.D. thesis. The defense is to take place in the auditorium X of ***, on *** of November 2004, at 12 o’clock noon. The official dinner is to take place in *** restaurant at 6 o’clock afternoon. Following the official dinner you are encouraged to join a party that is held in YYY restaurant from 7 o’clock afternoon to 1 o’clock after midnight. The party is meant to be relaxed and refreshments will be available in quantities. The dressing code for participants arriving directly to the party is set free.
I would be grateful if you could inform me by *** of November 2004 if you are coming to official dinner and/or party. I would also kindly ask you to indicate special menu requirements if any.
