Inversion after adverbial expressions of place

After adverbial expressions of place :
  • Round the corner came the postman.
  • On the doorstep was a bunch of flowers.
This is what I got on a website and I was wondering if only inversion happens with intransitive verbs and adverbial expressions of place or inversion happens with transitive verbs with adverbial expressions of place?

For example,

In the house watched I TV.

In the house did I watch TV.

Or is there a good example to prove the latter one?

Thank you so much as usual in advance!
