Inversion/ across

Hi, just a quick question.

Is the order of these words correct?
Across a road is a young mommy pushing her baby cart.

I'm 90 percent possitive but can't be sure, so help!

Yes, that word order is OK. 'Baby cart' does not seem natural to me; I suggest 'baby buggy' or 'stroller'; and 'mommy' sound infantile-- I suggest 'mother'.

Thank you for the reply and the brush-up. I'll take 'baby baggy' and 'mother' then.

BTW, you sounded a bit funny because you say, "natural." The Japanese, to my eyes, tend to judge things right or wrong by the criteria, natural or unnatural, but I've never heard American or British people saying, "natural." Maybe my observation was wrong.

Thanks anyway,

Jim

Would you prefer that I say 'native'?

oh, of course, it's up to you. I just felt it's 'unnatural.' ^^;
