I think you'd say #1 sounds undoubtly OK. What about #2? Does it sound a little off compared to #1? Or will you say #2 is wrong? Some people make a grammar question with this inversion matter: if "not" comes in the beginning of a sentence inversion takes place. That's why I ask this question. I want to know whether #2 sounds a little off but acceptable grammarically or #2 is just wrong.
