Inundate

Hi,

Can I say that 'someone is inundated with something' in a casual conversation?

"She keeps complaining about not having anything fancy to wear, but she's inundated with dresses."

Literally , inundated means flooded. eg When the dam collapsed ,an entire village was inundated. Figuratively, inundated means flooded.
