introduce or turn onto

Is it correct to either introduce someone to a site or turn someone onto a site?
Being sarcastic, a friend says : Thank you so much for turning me onto this gambling site. Since you introduced me to this site, I've lost $500.

He turned me onto/introduced me to this band. I love their music.

Thank you
