Intransitive verbs
Hello,
If an intransitive verb cannot take an object, what do you call the rest of the sentence that comes after the verb? Why can't it be called an indirect object? For example, My son sleeps in a crib ... what is 'in a crib'? With a transitive verb, it is an indirect object ... My son plays peek- a-boo in a crib.
