Into the arms of a stranger

I was walking down the street and suddenly fell. Luckily there was somebody to catch me before I hit the ground.

So, my question is, did I

"fell into the arms of a stranger"

or did I

"fell into a stranger's arms"?

Or, are the both sentences correct?

This was not the question, but you have a verb problem: I fell into ... or Did I fall ..?. but not Did I fell...?

  • but not Did I fell...?
  • As to your main question, either one is equally correct.
  • The first is a bit more poetic than the second.

As to your main question, either one is equally correct. The first is a bit more poetic than the second. But either constrution is a bit poetic. Unless this stranger went on to become your true love.
