Into Next Day

"They worked into the next day."
"They worked partially into the next day."

Could "partially into the next day" be a weaker version of "into the next day"?

Not really. If you want to modify "into the next day" you should be more specific: several / a few hours into the next day' well into the next day. 'Partially' just doesn't sound right at all.

Welcome to the forum, hondaff.

I agree with Philip that 'partially' does not sound right in this sentence.
