Hi
Is this a natural phrase? What does it mean?
The two leaders hated each other -- they weren't really into each other.
Thanks,

Mr. Tomthey weren't really into each other.
That suggests an amorous/intimate relationship. Is that what you intended?

The second part is a little too obviously saying the same thing as the first part, making it seem unnecessary.
They hated each other — they didn't really like each other.
I find the combination pretty strange.
