Can you say this?

1 The dog playing with the rug, put the rug into a ball.

Is this correct?

1 How old do you want her to be?
2 The only reason I wanted to win was because I didn't want to pass for someone who ran his mouth for nothing. (can you say PASS FOR? or would you say something else?
