Intext citation

Bernie claimed it was "The largest such fraud in history."(Forbes.com).

Is this right or does the quote need another quotation mark around it because its already quoted on a website. Also does the (Forbes.com) need quotation marks or is it ok as it is?

I would write

Bernie claimed it was "the largest such fraud in history". (Forbes.com)

Hi. Please help. When you make an in-text citation, should we restrict the reference to one sentence, or could we reference more than one sentence? I hope my question makes sense, but I am not sure. I'm not sure I understand you correctly.

Perhaps you mean it like this:

"John Doe wrote 'Life is good' (1). His sister Jane Doe affirmed 'Life is indeed good' (2). Not everybody agrees: Tom Day asserts 'Life sucks' (3)."

[And in footnotes at the bottom of the page, you would state your sources.]

(1) 'Thoughts on Life', Doe, Jo
