Interwoven

Hello everyone,

Can we use the word "interwoven" instead of "interwined" as follows?

Eg. Star of David consists of two interwoven equilateral triangles.

Instead of;

Eg. Star of Dvid consists of two interwined equilateral triangles.

Regards,

JA

Note that the word is "inter t wined", not "interwined". The word I would probably use to describe the triangles of the Star of David is "interlinked". "intertwined" is not impossible, but most often this word would suggest something more sinuous, say like the stems of a climbing plant.

  • "interwoven" doesn't really seem right to me in that context.
