Interview questions...what is the best answer for these questions

Dear all, this question seems a little bit tricky...do you have any idea what is the best answer for these questions...

1. Tell me a time when you went above and beyond what was required of your position.

2. How would you handle the situation if a client called and asked you a question that you did not have an immediate answer to?

thank you clive for your reply. i think i really have a big problem here. whenever i receive email from somebody, it really takes a long time for me to reply it back because i'm worried about a few things such as grammar, my wording and others.

just like this question, i don't know where to start. hmm...but i'll try my best to answer it. hopefully somebody will come out with better suggestion.

i don't really understand this question. is it he trying to ask me when i want the next job or to get promotion.

and then for the 2nd question i'll answer like this..

I’ll tell him that I’m really sorry because I don’t have the answer right now. But I’ll get him to him as soon as possible when I get the right answer.
