In the event of fire, the alarm will sound at intervals of 15 seconds

Does it mean after 15 seconds the alarm will sound?

No, it means that the alarm will sound, then there will be a pause of 15 seconds, then it will sound again, then there will be another 15 second pause, then it will sound again, and so on.

Can you tell me if interval is correctly used in this one example?

Every time you press the button the timer goes from 10 seconds up to 20 seconds up to 30 seconds, 40 seconds etc

Do you understand?
The timer goes up by intervals of 10 seconds with every push of the button.

Thanks

I would use increment, not interval.
