I would like to use within and interval. Please correct
Both his parents passed away within 4 month interval.

It's not natural. Native speakers would say this:

Both his parents passed away within 4 months of each other.

"The interval" is the measure of the limits, not necessarily the period between them.
"Within the interval" is not idiomatic.

It's okay to say "Both parents passed away within a four month period."
