interpretator - broken English?

Hi,

(1) I wonder if the word "interpretator" exists/is ever used in general English (not tech speak)?

If this noun existed, it should be a derivative form of the verb (sic!) TO INTERPRETATE, which does seem to be a valid English word?

(2) There is a block diagram of a certain SW product... and one of the "boxes" is named "Matlab module interpretator". I am confused... Does the word "interpretator" make sense to you (in this and other similar tech speak context)?

I have checked a few online dictionaries... it looks like "interpretator" is more Latin than English?
