interpretation of "get in line with" in this situation

Hi~

I am wondering what exactly the sentence or phrase "get in line with" below tries to mean. Does that mean "drive in the same road line which other cars or trucks going the same speed on" OR "drive on different road line, being side by side with the cars or trucks going the same speed"?
Which interpretation, do you think, is better ?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks~!!

Here are the sentences and the sentence in question is the last sentence. To be sorry I failed to make them in bold.:

Maintaining a constant speed will help you get more MPG out of your tank. Everyone knows that stop-and-go traffic is murder on your gas mileage. Well so is accelerating and decelerating constantly. So get in line with a group of cars or trucks going the same speed as you.

Hi I understand that to mean: make sure you are in a traffic lane where the cars or trucks are travelling at a similar speed. The vehicles will be in front and behind you, not alongside Dave

Either of those qualifies, in my opinion, with "getting in line" with a group of other vehicles. We can take "get in line with" a little loosely and say it
