In 1990, the Internet users accounted for 55% of the total population in the UK, compared to about 70% in the US. The percentage of Vietnamese users was lowest, at 10%, while 25% of Japanese individuals used the Internet. By contrast, the proportion of citizens who used this kind of communicative device in Australia stood at 40%.
