Dear teachers

when writing assignments I sometimes put in information taken from the Internet. Let's say I use a statistics from Wikipedia and I would like to add to the source the day I got the information from that page. Do I use
.... retrieved on 31 October 2016?

"download" does not seem to be the appropriate word here, does it?
