Hi, Can anyone help me? I am currently investigating the different international phrases that communicate depression. In english we may use, 'down in the dumps', and talk of 'feeling blue' or having the 'black dogs'. Could anyone please suggest any other phrases that are used to denote strong feelings of sadness? Alison[/nq] I would simply caution not to confuse the blues with clinical depression. Feeling bad is normal. Being depressed is not. D
