Internatinal women's day
Dear all,
Could you please correct my English please?
Here is my text below:
"On 8th March 2013, there were quiz and debate programme took place from 12pm to 3pm in the library to commemorate the International Women’s Day. Library member and non member were invited to this programme. It aims to get people to participate by sharing their knowledge, feeling and opinion on women as well as give them opportunity to get awareness of the role of women in the country and their rights and empowerment.
In the Debate session there were 6 groups; 4 persons in a group, participated very actively under three titles: 1.Being a woman is hard. vs. Men have the tough lives,2. Housework should be shared between husband and wife. vs. It’s a wife’s job. 3. Women should be keep up their own traditional culture vs women should adapt current fashion. Winners were given out prizes according to the 5 members of judges’ comments.
This programme gave them lots of experience and opened their eyes to understand of the value of women and they can be part of the vital role in socioeconomic development of the country."
