Interleave/interlock

Is 'interlock' like 'interleave'? Can we use 'interleave' instead of 'interlock' interchangeably in the text below?

A widely adopted paradigm for parallel systems is that of interleaving.[...] Actions of an independent component are merged (also called weaved), or “interleaved”, with actions from other components. Thus, concurrency is represented by (pure) interleaving, that is, the nondeterministic choice between activities of the simultaneously acting processes (or components). This perspective is based on the view that only one processor is available on which the actions of the processes are interlocked.

No. To interleave one set of things with another is to place them together alternately, like shuffling a deck of cards. When two things are interlocked, they are rigidly connected.
