Interjection questions

Hi,

I downloaded a list of interjections from the Internet the other day, and now am trying to figure out which of them are antiquated and which are okay... Also, I'd like to have all taboo words (if any in the list) filtered out...

Unfortunately it is just a "bare" list without any comments, etc.

(1) gosh
according to my longman, it is used to express surprise, eg, Gosh, it's cold
I wonder if this interjection is common in today's English?

(2) yuck, bleck (not sure this spelling is correct) - both express disgust, dislike, etc.? Both are common?

(3) Atta boy!
it is
used to encourage or express approval (to a man or boy). Common? or not really?
Btw, is there a similar interjection applicable to females? :-)
