Interjection

interjection expresses strong feelings. a word / phrase does this. "inter" means between and "jection" means thrown, i.e. thrown between. that is what i got from net. I have a doubt, because the same net says interjection is used for exclamation. in that case can we say "what a lovely rose!", "How beautiful it is!" also interjection?

Please advise me. There is debate about that.
