Interesting paraphrasing

Hi!

Paraphrasing "I hope that you will not do that." into a questioning sentence like,

"Can you not do that?"

How is it to be paraphrased?

"Can you not do that?"...... this one seems to mean "Please do that",
but what was to be addressed was "Please do not do that".

For clear understanding here is another example:

Please do not go there. -----> Can you not go there? or Can't you not go there?

"I hope that you will not do that."  You can say: "You won't do that, will you?"
"Please do not go there." - "You won't go there, will you?"

Thanks catherinechg and Annvan!

If, "Would you please not do that?" is allowable, then how about, "Could you not do that?"
