Vocabulary

interested to hear/see/etc

Hello,
Which sentence sounds better to you:
- I would be/ I am interested to hear more about it.
- I would be/I am interested to see how this works out.

I realize they are not used often (if ever), but the "I would..."version sounds better in my opinion. Which one looks better to you?

Absolutely. I see that people sometimes use "interested to do something". Not very often, though. Is that not the case in your variety of English, Mr Micawber? I also came across:
- I would be interested to hear what he has to say.

The ones with "would be" are more natural. With "am" you'll need interested in [hearing / seeing] ....

Thanks, Jim. I think that "I'd be interested to know/hear/learn/etc" is similar to "I'd like to..."
