Please help me find these cases.

from my view:

purpose: the cause of doing some thing, e.g: what's ur purpose of visiting our country ?

intention: the think, as M.H said, some thing i want to do, i intent to do, but i don't know when exactly will happen, because of me, or the others(intention to get specific university for instance)..

Hi,

Here's something else to consider.

We sometimes speak of things having a 'purpose'. eg the purpose of a can-opener is to open cans.

But we don't speak of things as having an 'intention', ( although we do say 'A can-opener is intended (by its maker - usually omitted) to open cans. )

Best wishes, Clive
