intended tests

Hi,
Is "inteded" an appropriate term?
Context:
"Night- shift nurses performed the intended tests at 6 pm, before the night shift and repeated the same tests at 8 am, after the shift. Results were analysed and compared based on the night nap time (12–03 am and 03–06 am) chosen by the night shift nurses."
