intellect vs intelligence

I find the word "intellect" and "intelligence" the same.
Q1) Is it different?

I found "intellect" countable and "intelligence" uncountable.
eg., My sister has a great intellect.
A person of high intelligence.
Q2) Is there any (logical) reason why only "intellect" can be countable?
