Integrate it with comprehension passages

Hi

Is this natural English? Any suggestions please?

(Teacher talking about his experience at a certain school)

We were advised to integrate basic grammar like tenses and active/passive voice, etc with the comprehension passages (on the curriculum) and not to teach it separately.

i don't fully know, but in the educational curriculum of my school particularly and other schools generally they often teach those u mentioned seperately. It still works, hopes that help :>
