Vocabulary

insurance / insure

What do you say about insurance?

When you have insurance for a possible cancer, how do you say?

1. I was insured for a cancer #100 dollars a month that ends in ten years(or in 2023).

2. I got/joined insurance for a cancer #100 dollars a month that ends in ten years(or in 2023).

#1 and #2 are just random sentences I made to know how to use "insurance/insure".

Q2) Do you also say like "I insured myself ...." instead of "I insured for...."?
