Clive, please forgive me for the confusion my post has caused. Actually I did not intend to post anything other than the instruction. By mistake I posted one section of the key.

The exercise is about filling in the blank space in every sentence using the correct word of the four alternatives given.

I think the instruction you have given sounds simple and clear. I will use it.
