Hello,
1 I didn't play kho kho. I played basketball. (instead).
I have to insert the adverb in the bracket in the right place.
a) I did't play kho kho instead i played basket.
b) I didn't play kho kho, I played basket instead.
Which is correct between (a) and (b)?
Is any other way to rewrite it?

Note that Yoong Liat correctly changed your thoughts to two sentences. You could also place "instead" at the end of the second sentence.
