Is it correct English to say "inspire confidence" in this context
The sandwich fell on the ground.

The mother says: the floor is clean. The maid washed the floor this morning.

The father says : The way the maid washes the floor doesn't inspire confidence. You shouldn't eat the sandwich that fell on the floor.
