Grammar

inside v in

Hi Teachers,

I have got a question.

(1) The book is in the box.

(2) The book is inside the box.

In my opinion, both sentences sound correct. Can someone please help me?

Are there any differences? When to use which one?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting question. Here they mean the same. I imagine that inside is used for slight emphasis, or when the positioning of the object is slightly difficult to perceive.
