Inside the shop

HI,

Till and cash register is it the same thing? For example when I want to buy groceries I stay in line at the till or cash register? When clerk? Mrs or Mr check my produkts and give me receipt and bill. Because I had a problem when I wanted to explain to a foreigner that the cash register/till was closed.

Second question, this person who stand behaind the till what she/he do? Checkout the products?
